The Atlanta Hawks have had a couple of points in the season where their injury report was more than two pages long. Firstly there was the time prior to Cam Reddish being traded which was like deja-vu all over again. There was a crisis at the wing position with Reddish, De’Andre Hunter, and Bogdan Bogdanovic all out with injuries that had differing lengths of absence.

Then the injury report exploded during the time that the Hawks went through their Covid-19 crisis with 15 or more players out with the virus. Is it any wonder they have struggled throughout this season? Then things quietened down for about a month before the next round of injuries.

John Collins was out around the All-Star break with a foot issue, then Onyeka Okongwu was out due to the NBA’s concussion protocol. Fortunately, despite the Hawks calling Sharife Cooper up from the G League because Trae Young was so banged up, he did not miss any games.

The Atlanta Hawks only have Kevin Huerter on the injury list.

With the exception of once earlier this season, the Hawks have not had such a small injury report as they have right now. Okongwu is out of concussion protocols and played last game. Collins has looked good in his two games back, he was really good when inserted back into the starting lineup.

Now the Hawks only have Kevin Huerter on the injury list thanks to his shoulder concern and he is listed as probable. He injured his shoulder when going for a cross-court pass in the win against the Washington Wizards.

If he plays then the Hawks will have their second injury report of the season where they have no player on it. They are going to need everyone back and firing against the Milwaukee Bucks who dismantled the OKC Thunder in what appears to be a warm-up for the Hawks.
