The Atlanta Hawks had an early exit from the playoffs which is a bitter pill to swallow for the franchise and fanbase alike. Unfortunately for the team, Trae Young is catching some heat for out of context comments earlier in the season. However, despite him having a terrbile series, it was not the entire fualt of Young, his roleplayers needed to shoulder some more of the load.

One of the problems that the Hawks faced, especially in the final game was that Bogdan Bogdanovic had bad news. When it was announced that he was out, news also came out that he had been experiencing severe knee pain for weeks.

The problem is, this is not a one-off over the past two seasons for Bogdanovic. He fractured his knee-cap less than a month into his Atlanta Hawks career. He then had knee issues throuhgout the playoffs last season.

The Atlanta Hawks continue to deal with injuries to key players.

To put it simply the Hawks have had no luck with injury over the past two seasons. Bogdanovic has been a major part of this. Earlier this season the Hawks had an injury crisis scarily similar to that of last season. De’Andre Hunter, Cam Reddish and Bogdanovic were all suffering mid to long-term injuries, which if you followed the Hawks last season, you know how this impacted them

This season Bogdanovic had ankle issues and then missed the Hawks most important game of the season thanks to that knee. While he has only been in the league for five full seasons, he played another five whilst in Europe and that all take a toll on a players body. Bogdanovic is turning 30 prior to the next NBA season.

There is no doubt that Bogdanovic is one of the best shooters in the world. The problem is that he is only going to beat you if he can make it on the court. He has only played 107 games of a possible 164 which is not enough for $18.0 million a season. The Hawks need to include Bogdanovic in a trade to get a second star.
