The Atlanta Hawks are well represented at EuroBasket by former players. They have Dennis Schroder trying to lead Germany, one of the tournament’s co-hosts as deep into the tournament as possible. This appears to be his ticket back into the league and the Los Angeles Lakers might be punching that one.

Italy is one of the other hosts of the tournament and they will be relying heavily on the talents of Danilo Gallinari to go as deep into the tournament as they can. The problem is that the Italian national team is not one of the best in Europe, they are almost outside the top ten.

However, the French national team, where the Atlanta Hawks are represented by ex-player Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot is one of the favorites to win the tournament. They are ranked fourth in the world, behind only tournament favorite Spain, who is ranked second in the world.

The Serbian national team is going to be missing Atlanta Hawks star Bogdan  Bogdanovic

Bogdan Bogdanovic is going to be a huge loss for the Serbian national team. However, it is not going to be the end of the world for the team. They still have Nikola Jokic, Nikola Jovic, Aleksej Pokusevski, and Nemanja Bjelica as a relatively strong NBA contingent.

Bogdanovic is missing due to having off-season knee surgery to hopefully fix up an injury that has troubled him for the last two seasons. Given that he has vowed to come back and have his best season ever, there is much to be excited about from a Hawks’ point of view.

Unfortunately for the Serbian national team, they are going to miss the playmaking and the shooting of Bogdanovic. They are ranked six in the world, just behind the fifth-ranked Slovenian team, the fourth-ranked French national team, and the second-ranked Spanish team.

Still, with the players that they have in uniform, it is difficult to see the Serbians not doing well in this tournament.
