The second Atlanta Hawks long homestand.

The second long homestand for the Hawks comes, again, on the back of a long road trip, this time in December. Again the NBA has given the Hawks two days off which is going to be beneficial to the team. Their first game back is against the Orlando Magic which could be an interesting one, even though the beef between Dejounte Murray and Paolo Banchero appears to be settled.

This is then followed by games against the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons. The Bulls game will be influenced by whether Lonzo Ball can return from injury and the Hawks have already met the Pistons twice before this season.

The Hawks then miss out on a Christmas Day game which is a travesty of the NBA fixture but it does give them a three-day break before they travel to take on the Indiana Pacers. This is considered a part of the homestand as the flight time is just over an hour. The Hawks then return home to take on the Brooklyn Nets the next night.

The final game of the homestand is against the Los Angeles Lakers. We are yet to see what the Lakers are like this season but if they are as bad as last season then the Hawks should finish this homestand on a positive note.
