The Atlanta Hawks G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks have announced their training camp schedule and more importantly, their training camp roster. As is usual for a G League roster they have taken a circuitous route to get here but it is all locked in and ready to go.

Their training camp is a week-long event starting tomorrow, the 24th of October.  They have two three-hour sessions on Monday and Tuesday starting at 4 PM. They then have three five-hour sessions from Wednesday onwards starting at 10 AM. This is not a huge amount of time for a team that has very few players who have played together before.

Getting back to the roster, the Skyhawks have added three players through the recently held draft. They are Jared Rhoden, who the Hawks also claimed off waivers, Terrell Brown jr, and Adrian Delph. Of the three, it is Rhoden who will make the roster as the Skyhawks have to cut three players from the training camp squad prior to the regular season starting.

The Atlanta Hawks provided a few more players for the College Park Skyhawks

Tyson Etienne is the only player who the Hawks took from Summer League through to training camp who is on the Skyhawks roster. On top of that, they bought Chris Silva into the fold and the Skyhawks made the relevant trades in the background to ensure he stayed with the G League team.

The Skyhawks have also added three players through their local tryouts. They are Daniel Utomi, Tookie Brown, and Davion Warren. We will watch their career progression with interest if they make it through training camp. You never know if any of them is the next Justin Tillman but these players have to work the hardest not to be the ones cut.

The Skyhawks welcome Giorgi Bezhanishvili, Armoni Brooks, Lamont West, and Brandon Williams into the fold thanks to trading for their returning player rights. The team also welcomes back Malik Ellison, AJ Lawson, and Ibi Watson back from last season.

On top of that, the Skyhawks have the two-way talents of Jarret Culver and Trent Forrest. This is going to be an exciting time for the Skyhawks as they will also have the services of rookies AJ Griffin and Tyrese Martin throughout the season.
