The Atlanta Hawks, who beat the Miami Heat in the Play-In, made the playoffs this year after an up-and-down season that included the hiring of a new head coach in Quin Snyder and a rough shooting season from Trae Young.

However, while they made their first-round matchup against Boston competitive, they lost in six games, marking their second-straight first-round exit in the postseason.

Meanwhile, after going down 3-0 in the Eastern Conference finals, the Boston Celtics refused to give up. They won three-straight games, earning a chance to make NBA history on their home floor in Game 7.

But when it came down to it, they failed on the biggest stage, getting blown out of the water in Game 7 by the Heat and falling short of their ultimate goal of a championship.

Needless to say, it’s not unfathomable that both teams look to make changes this summer. And while the most likely scenario is probably changing things around the edges, there’s always a chance both sides look to seriously shake things up.

Jaylen Brown came up way short in Boston’s Game 7 loss to Miami. Jayson Tatum went down with an ankle injury on the first play, and Brown played terribly when asked to step up.

Young had a solid season, but his shooting splits took a major dip this year, and outside of a couple of solid games and one game-winner, he was rough in the postseason.

The Celtics could use someone to run their offense, and the Hawks may want to consider a roster change-up to split up their two star guards.

Would a Young for Brown trade make sense? Let’s take a look.
