Atlanta Hawks Headlines: One Week To Go
Thanks for wandering back to Atlanta Hawks Headlines. Let’s take a look at the status of the Atlanta Hawks as the final week of the NBA’s regular season approaches.
Hello, Atlanta Hawks fans. How I have missed your smiling faces. Or should I say frowning faces? The Hawks are giving fans reason to frown these days. Their two-game winning streak has given way to a two-game losing streak.
Because of that, the playoff picture has gotten a little blurry. The Hawks still have a tenuous grasp on sixth place in the Eastern Conference. They’re one game ahead of the Chicago Bulls and two games ahead of the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers. Ninth place is closer than they would like.
Things are getting a little too cozy at the bottom half of the Eastern Conference standings. I’m sure the Hawks would like to create some separation. To do that, they’ll have to beat some high quality opponents. Their next three games come against the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers (twice). Did it just get warm in here?
Anyway, let’s take a look at what the world web wide has to say about the Hawks and their precarious situation.

The Atlanta Hawks Today vs. The Hawks on this Date Last Year
Jerrell Rushin analyzes Atlanta’s standing in the league today compared to this time last season. As Hawks fans remember, Atlanta finished 48-34 last season. That was tied for the third best record in the Eastern Conference. They would end up winning a first-round playoff series against the Boston Celtics. That result would be shocking this season.
