Atlanta Hawks Headlines returns on a glorious spring day. Birds are chirping. The weather is warming up. The Atlanta Braves open up a brand new ballpark this weekend. All those events signal the start of spring. A season of rebirth and hope.
It also means that the NBA Playoffs are right around the corner. On Saturday, April 15th or Sunday, April 16th the playoffs will start for the Atlanta Hawks. This will be the 10th consecutive season that the Hawks will make an appearance in the postseason.
Atlanta clinched a playoff spot in large part due to their recent play. After struggling to win a single game for two weeks, the Hawks won three straight games against the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Cleveland Cavaliers (again).

According to a report from Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Atlanta Hawks have promoted Malik Rose to general manager of the Erie BayHawks. The BayHawks will be Atlanta’s D-League affiliate starting next season.
Hawks again getting boost from bench – at right time
Vivlamore also looks at how well the Hawks’ bench has played during their three-game winning streak. This boost from the bench was instrumental in Atlanta’s Friday night upset against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Hawks need their bench to remain productive in the playoffs if they have any hope of making it out of the first round.
