Atlanta Hawks Headlines is back with a look at Atlanta’s exit interviews, draft workouts, and more.
The end of the NBA season for your favorite team always comes abruptly. Especially if they meet their end in the playoffs. They go from playing intense, winner take all basketball to not having a competitive game until October.
The Atlanta Hawks concluded their 2016-17 season on Friday night. They fell to the Washington Wizards in Game 6 of their first round playoff series. It was disappointing, but expected. The Wizards are the better team and were favored in the series. That won’t make nearly six months without Hawks basketball any easier to stomach.
No basketball doesn’t mean the news cycle will end. This will be a busy summer for the Hawks. They have decisions to make on several impending free agents. They’ll also pick 19th, 31st, and 60th in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Let’s take a look at some news and notes about where the Hawks stand at the beginning of this long offseason.
