Atlanta Hawks possible free agent signing No. 3) Solomon Hill

More from Soaring Down South

Another possible player to replace the role played by Solomon Hill last season is Hill himself. As mentioned earlier, Hill did it all for the Hawks last season, all while playing for a minimum salary which meant that he had one of the best contracts in the entire NBA.

Hill signed on with the Hawks last season after making the Finals in the bubble season with the Miami Heat. He has made a name for himself as a defender who is also a streaky 3-point shooter. His career number is 33.3 percent from beyond the arc, going at 32.1 percent from behind the long-line this season.

Hawks fans are well aware of the frustrations associated with watching Hill play basketball, but the good far outweighs the bad. He is prone to silly mistakes which result in turnovers but the next play down the court Hill will make a huge defensive play, resulting in a transition bucket.

He needs to work on his offense more so that he can play longer minutes as he lost his playing time in the playoffs due to a lack of production. If the Hawks can get him on a low-value deal then they need to re-sign him, at least for what he can do for the squad during the regular season.
