According to Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report, the Atlanta Hawks did not have a single loss in the 2021 offseason. it is very rare that a team is able to accomplish a whole offseason without seemingly missing out or making a mistake.
Last offseason they had Rajon Rondo as a failed move but they rectified that by making the trade for Lou Williams who was incredible for the team, especially with his fourth-quarter heroics. This led to Kris Dunn being their only failed offseason move.
This offseason the Hawks ticked every single box, it is as simple as that. They locked up John Collins for the next five seasons, gave Trae Young the well-deserved extension he earned as well as resigning Lou Williams and Solomon Hill.
The Atlanta Hawks made themselves better despite more injuries in the offseason as well.

The Hawks needed to replace the production of Onyeka Okongwu from last season. He may have only averaged 12.0 minutes per game but his impact on the second unit was noticeable. Landing Gorgui Dieng was huge for the team and may have playoff implications.
The Hawks also made the trade they had to make when they sent Dunn and Bruno Fernando to the Boston Celtics, receiving Tristan Thompson in return. The Hawks then flipped Thompson to the Sacramento Kings for Delon Wright which should fix their back point guard issues.
Even drafting, the Hawks did not miss with Travis Schlenk doing it again. He selected Sharife Cooper in the second round as a development piece to play behind Young in time. He also took Jalen Johnson in the first round which more than made up for the loss of Tony Snell.
This is the only possible loss that Buckley could find. However, as he said, even that would not be seen as a loss. The Hawks improved their team with every transaction they made and they should see more postseason glory next April through until June.
