Vince Carter played his last two seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. This coincided with Huerter playing his first two seasons with the franchise. Whenever you watch a Hawks broadcast with Carter on it, you know that he is extremely fond of Huerter.
Not only that, Carter is always looking at ways that Huewrter can improve his game so that the opposition respects him more on offense. When Carter went up hard close to the rim, he was almost always going to score because he took it so hard to the rim.
Huerter does have a tendency to go up a little soft at times around the hoop. Carter liked to send a message to the opposition every time he scored and he wants Huerter to do the same. By doing this he puts doubt into the mind of the opposition but also forces them to foul him if they want to stop him from scoring.
Carter was also able to fill up the box score in most categories. He managed to do this as a leader of the team. Huerter has the same ability to fill the box score but does it as a third or fourth option. If he can push himself more to the second option when he is on the court, then he will help the Hawks win more.
