Atlanta Hawks star Dejounte Murray responds to LeBron James
Over the weekend, Atlanta Hawks star Dejounte Murray took part in The CrawsOver in his hometown of Seattle, Washington. The appearance was hyped up because of his apparent feud with Orlando Magic rookie Paolo Banchero who is also from Seattle. That buzz quickly fizzled when Murray was seen helping Banchero up off the floor after a fall.
There was also buzz because it was the debut of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James at the event.
Unfortunately for everyone involve, the game was cut short due to condensation on the floor.
But, even in the brief time that he was there, James felt compelled to send out a heartfelt message to the event’s host and namesake, Jamal Crawford as well as Murray. Well, whether he saw the message from James or not, Murray has responded.

The game got canceled in the second quarter after a player slipped while going up for a layup. Chet Holmgren, the second-overall pick by the Oklahoma City Thunder also came away with an injury. But those unfortunate occurrences did not spoil the energy in the arena which was packed leading to the high humidity.
James shared his message on Twitter, tagging Crawford, Murray, and NBA veteran Isaiah Thomas.
Murray took to Instagram to share his feelings for James.

Thomas was one of the thousands to show up in the comments while Phoenix Suns star point guard Chris Paul gave the post a like.
This also continues a reversal of the heel-turn we saw from Murray earlier in the summer.
The NBA’s 2022 steals champ and All-Star turned a lot of heads with his brashness on the summer pro-am circuit from bouncing basketballs off of an opponent’s heads to his dust-up with Banchero. But hugging it out with the rook and then this message is sure to assuage some of the critics of that behavior.
And if not, he and Trae Young are already set to be one of the most hated backcourts in the NBA next season with games to back up their ability to rile up the crowd.
Make no mistake, though.
That “hate” is purely in basketball terms as both players have proven to be good ambassadors for the game. Whether that is through charity work or supporting basketball in other leagues, the Hawks’ backcourt is setting a pretty good example of their own.
